Planned Protest: Somolu LG Chairman,Dullar Engages Community Stakeholders, Security Agencies

As part of his efforts to avert violence relating to the protest scheduled from August 1 to 10, the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu ‘Dullar’,has engaged various community Stakeholders,Political,head of religious bodies,youth leaders, as well as security chiefs and officials from the National Orientation Agency.
During the meeting,’Dullar’ emphasized that government properties are communal assets that must be protected by all.

He cited the destructive #EndSARS protests of 2020, which saw Alade Market, Alade Police Station, and Onipanu Police Station set ablaze, while urging the community to prevent such criminal acts in the future.
The chairman went further to cautioned against suspicious and frivolous gatherings that could trigger violence in any area of Somolu, noting that proactive approach put in place is aimed to ensure that the planned protest does not disrupt the peace and stability of the community.
Also the Chairman ‘Dullar’, in company of the Vice Chairman, Hon. Adekunle Ekiyemi-Odujobi, also met with the Somolu Legislative Council and the Somolu Executive Council.
The meetings were attended by notable figures such as Apostle Peter Oyewusi (Chairman of APC Apex Leaders in Somolu-Bariga), Alhaji Fatai Bakare, and Hon. Ademola Adefalujo-Olisa, among others including Hon. Williams Lawanson, Hon. Michael Oikeh, Hon. Rasaq Tajudeen, Ademola Ogunade, and Hon. Adewale Oseni
