On the forthcoming planned protest, the Ezendigbo of Amuwo Odofin urged Ndigbo in Amuwo Odofin and indeed Lagos State not to participate in the planned protest schedule to hold on the 1st of August to August 10

Eze Chukwuka noted that the protest is not what the country needs right now but rather prayers for God’s intervention over the security and economic challenges facing the country.

He acknowledge the fact that truly the people are suffering due to the economic problems facing the country, but embarking on protest was not the option because hoodlums will use the opportunity to destroy lives and property in the State.

“I want to use this opportunity to tell Ndigbo to desist from embarking on the planned protest,in Amuwo Odofin,l have been educating Ndigbo in my locality and other ethnic groups on why they should not participate as this will disrupt the peace we have in this country.”

” Yes l know that things are very hard, that is why the agitation against the present administration over economic hardship in Nigeria is taking place but protest is not the way out because the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is looking for ways to revamp the economy,to me lets give the government more time as this is just his first year in office” he submitted.

Eze Omeiheukwu also called for peace and unity among the ethnic groups and posited that it is only when there is peace and unity, that Nigeria will surmount all economic and security challenges facing it.
