The pace-setting Islamic organization, Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), is gearing up for its 8th Biennial Women’s Conference, themed “Strengthening Women’s Leadership through Empowerment and Islamic Values.”
The event will take place in Abeokuta from Thursday, July 25 to Sunday, July 28, 2024, and is expected to attract thousands of women both physically and virtually from all walks of life.
Under the leadership of National Women Affairs Secretary Alhaja Babalola Ganiyat Omowunmi, this year’s conference promises a rich array of activities designed to inspire and empower women. National President Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, a career coach, business analyst, and stockbroker, will oversee the proceedings, with spiritual guidance provided by Sheikh (Engr) AbdulAzeez Marufdeen Onike.
The conference will kick off with keynote speeches from prominent female leaders, offering insights into leadership, resilience, and community development. These sessions aim to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills to excel in various facets of life. Workshops and panel discussions will address critical issues such as health and wellness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship.
One of the highlights will be the sessions on health and wellness, focusing on promoting physical and mental well-being among women. Additionally, educational seminars on parenting, marriage, and leadership will be conducted to enhance the participants’ capacity to lead and effect positive change within their communities.
An exhibition featuring products and services by NASFAT women entrepreneurs will provide a platform for networking and business development.
The conference will culminate in an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding contributions by women within the NASFAT community, celebrating their achievements and inspiring others.
Alhaja Babalola Ganiyat Omowunmi emphasized NASFAT’s unwavering commitment to women’s development, highlighting that the conference exemplifies the society’s continuous efforts to uplift and empower women.
