The Senatorial Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP)Ogun state chapter,Hon Adekunle Funso, has felicitated with all muslim faithfuls in Ogun state and Nigeria on the Eid el Kabir celebration.
Hon Funso who stated this in a press release signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Comrade Ikpeama Emmanuel admonished the Muslim faithfuls to understand the importance and teachings that the festive bears which is,to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to Allah’s command.
He said “I extend my warmest wishes to all the Muslim faithful on this auspicious occasion of Eid El Kabir and as you all celebrate the festive, May this special occasion bring peace, Prosperity and unity to our our state and country at large.”
“We should therefore be mindful of the teachings and lessons that should be learnt from this celebration as it is one of having utmost faith and trust in the Almighty Allah.”
“Eid-el-Kabir holds great significance in Islam, commemorating the obedience and devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to Allah’s command. It serves as a time for reflection, gratitude, and sharing with those less fortunate. This sacred festival calls us to remember the values of empathy and generosity, which are essential pillars of our faith and nation.”
“I encourage all of us to use this holy occasion to strengthen the bonds of friendship and harmony that unite us. Let us reach out to our neighbors, especially those in need, and extend a helping hand wherever possible. By doing so, we embody the true spirit of Eid-el-Kabir and contribute to building a more compassionate and caring society, as taught by our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW).”he stated
The former House of Assembly Candidate in the last general election went further to urge the Muslims to rededicate themselves to the service of the Almighty and also continually pray for the state, Nigeria at large, while wishing them a blessed and joyful Eid-el-Kabir!
