Following his departure from New Delhi, India, President Bola Tinubu will make a technical stop in Abu Dhabi, the Emirati capital, where he will meet with the leadership of the United Arab Emirates.
“The meeting will serve as a follow-up discussion to address specific, salient issues within the bilateral relationship after conversations held during a recent visit by the UAE Ambassador to the President at the State House in Abuja,” Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, said in a statement he signed on Sunday.
“President Tinubu to meet UAE authorities during a stopover in Abu Dhabi,” reads the announcement.
The President will discuss outstanding bilateral issues, according to Ngelale, while maximizing the chance to further his investment promotion goals with high-level officials in the public and commercial sectors of the UAE.
The gathering on Sunday comes after a five-day investment drive that took place in conjunction with the G-20 Summit.
Last Wednesday, during a roundtable discussion with Indian business executives, Tinubu welcomed investment commitments totaling roughly $14 billion in the agribusiness, electricity, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical industries.
The statement said, “The President is expected to return to Abuja immediately following the bilateral engagement.”
