Actress Yvonne Jegede escapes robbery attack in Lagos
Thursday night on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State, Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede narrowly escaped a robbery attempt.
The actress mentioned in a thread published on Friday morning that she was almost robbed by a certain man at 9 p.m. while she was stuck in traffic on a bridge, but she lucked out when the traffic began to move.

Under the Oworonshoki bridge, she urged the Lagos State Government to clean up the area.
Her tweets read:
“Last night (Thursday) around 9 o’clock, a man nearly robbed me on 3rdMB. I was fortunate that the traffic moved slightly, so I was able to move my vehicle before he fled.

Under the bridge in Oworonsoki must be cleaned. This man emerged from underneath the bridge. They target lone motorists, so drive carefully.”

Jegede cautioned women to be especially cautious when driving alone at night, advising them to wait until daytime to drive if they can’t wait.
“If you’re driving alone in traffic, don’t use the fast lane (the lane to your immediate left); instead, position your vehicle between other vehicles. Please, ladies, remain where you are until the sun rises, if at all possible. Hunger exists in the city.
