Tension in Lagos as Thugs kill NURTW leader, “Arikuyeri” in broad daylight

Sulaimon Lawal Onaolapo, popularly known as ‘Arikuyeri,’ a member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW in Lagos, has been killed.

In an ongoing battle for control of motor parks in Lagos’ Mile 12 area, ‘Arikuyeri’ was murdered in broad daylight by members of a rival cult group.

The park beneath the Mile 12 bridge was overseen by the late Onaolapo.

Three men can be seen using sticks and other sharp objects to bludgeon Arikuyeri, who was motionless on the ground.

The deceased was 42 years old.

“One person died, but normalcy has been restored,” Lagos Police Spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin said, confirming the incident. “Police are on the scene.”
