In the aftermath of the devastating twin attacks on the Kuje Correctional Facility and President Muhammadu Buhari’s convoy, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has hinted at saboteurs among Nigerians.
Tinubu made this call in his Eid message, which he personally signed on Friday.
He decried the situation in which some citizens seek to “bring this nation and Islam into disrepute through destructive and violent actions.”
“They seek to pit brother against brother, neighbour against neighbour, and religion against religion.” “They want to disrupt society’s peaceful order,” he stated.
However, the former Lagos State Governor expressed optimism for a better Nigeria, urging all citizens to repel and avoid evil.
“However, Allah has placed us here to build a better Nigeria by caring for and seeing all of its inhabitants as brothers and sisters regardless of ethnicity, faith, or region.” We will do so. And no amount of evil or terror from any source will prevent us from carrying out Allah’s command. ” As a result, I implore you to continue believing in Nigeria’s potential as a great nation. Let us reject violence and those who cause and support it. Let us not forget the poor and vulnerable among us. Let us show brotherly concern and compassion to those who cannot help themselves.
“This Eid, we beseech Almighty Allah to protect the weak, feed the poor, and give us the courage and wisdom to subdue and defeat those who would seek to harm the innocent and undermine this nation,” Tinubu said.
