Reverend Father Emmanuel Silas of the St. Charles Catholic Church, Zambina, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has also been kidnapped.
Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Okolo, Chancellor of the Kafanchan Catholic Diocese, announced the sad news.
This comes just a few days after two Catholic priests, Rev. Father Peter Udo and Rev. Father Philemon Oboh, were kidnapped in Edo state.
Chancellor Okolo revealed in a statement on Monday that the priest was abducted from the church’s parish rectory in the early hours of the morning.
“It is with great sadness that we inform you of the kidnapping of our Priest, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Silas.” The incident occurred in the early hours of July 4, 2022, when he failed to appear for morning Mass. He was kidnapped from the parish rectory at St. Charles Catholic Church in Zambina, Kaduna State’s Kauru Local Government Area.”

“We ask for your prayers for his quick and safe release.” We would also like to appeal to everyone not to take the laws into their own hands.”
