With scores of 30.7, 32.2, 34.2, 37.0, and 37.5, respectively, Karachi in Pakistan, Damascus in Syria, Lagos in Nigeria, Tripoli in Libya, and Algiers in Algeria were the cities with the lowest quality of life.

The standard of healthcare, education, infrastructure, stability, and culture are taken into consideration by the EIU when assessing the quality of life in each city.
