Deborah: Atiku’s action shows Nigerian politicians only care about votes – Mr Macaroni
Mr Macaroni, a comedian, has chastised presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar for deleting Facebook and Twitter posts criticising the assassination of Deborah Samuel, a 200-level student at Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto.
A mob in Sokoto State burned Deborah alive for allegedly disrespecting Prophet Mohammed.
Atiku reportedly deleted his posts because some zealots threatened his presidential campaign in 2023.
In a tweet, Mr Macaroni added that Atiku’s actions demonstrate that politicians do not care about the people and only play to the gallery to win votes.

“Atiku deleting the tweet condemning Deborah’s terrible murder reflects what we have been preaching this entire election season,” he wrote.

“Politicians are unconcerned about the public. When they want our votes, they only play to the crowd. People must be able to see past these ruses.”

Some of our Nigerian politicians are self centered.
