Boko Haram insurgents abducted two women in Mairari village, Konduga Local Government Area, according to Borno Commissioner of Police Abdu Umar.
In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Maiduguri, Umar stated that the incident happened on June 7.
“At about 7.30 p.m., Ari Mustapha of Mairari village in Konduga reported that gunmen believed to be Boko Haram insurgents invaded his home and kidnapped his two daughters.”
He said they were 26 and 30 years old.

“He also claimed the insurgents stole two bulls and other valuables before fleeing,” the commissioner added.
The commissioner of police stated that after receiving the information, a crack-team was dispatched to the area to conduct a search and rescue operation, but to no avail.
The search will be intensified, according to Umar, until the victims are rescued and reunited with their families.
The commissioner urged residents to report any suspicious activity to the nearest security organization in their vicinity.
