Jonathan Felicitates Abdulsalami Abubakar at 80
Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, the former President of Nigeria, has congratulated Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, the former Head of State, on his 80th birthday.
Jonathan described Abubakar as a leader who made significant contributions to the country’s and the West African sub-growth region’s and stability.
Jonathan also emphasised Abubakar’s commitment to peace and the strengthening of the country’s democratic roots, particularly his contributions to the birth of the Fourth Republic.
The former President, who stated this in a personal goodwill message, also prayed to God to grant the former Head of State good health, more strength, and wisdom so that he could continue to serve the nation and humanity.

“On behalf of my family, I congratulate you on your 80th birthday,” read a letter from Jonathan’s Special Adviser.
