Breaking: Buhari will address Nigerians Sunday

By 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation via live broadcast.

Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information, confirmed this in a statement.

He stated that Buhari will address the nation on Democracy Day this year.

“As you may recall, President Muhammadu Buhari directed in June 2018 that Nigeria’s Democracy Day, which is observed on May 29, be moved to June 12 to honour Moshood Abiola, winner of the 1993 presidential election.”

“In accordance with the presidential directive, Democracy Day is observed each year on June 12th.” This year’s celebration will be the fourth on June 12th, following celebrations in 2019, 2020, and 2021.

“Following extensive work by an inter-ministerial committee, the following programmes have been scheduled to commemorate Democracy Day in 2022:

a) – This Press Conference officially kicks off the activity schedule.

b) – A public lecture is planned for tomorrow, Friday, June 10th.

At 9 a.m., at the National Mosque in Abuja.

c) – On the same day and at the same location, a

Juma’at Service at 12:00 p.m.

d) – There will be a presidential broadcast in the morning on Sunday, June 12. A church service will also be held at the

e) – Then, on Monday, June 13th, there will be a Ceremonial Parade at
