Children’s Day 2025:Hon Dullar Celebrates Somolu’s Little Footsteps,Big Future.

The Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government,Hon Abdul Hamed Salawu ‘Dullar’ has joined other Nigerians to celebrate this year Children’s day celebration with the theme “Little Footsteps, Big Future”.
Hon Dullar in a congratulatory message stated that the children’s joy,dreams and determination light the path to a future filled with promise, stating that with this year’s theme it perfectly captures their journey and he is honoured to walk alongside with them.
“Today, as we celebrate Children’s Day 2025, we do so with immense pride and admiration for every child in Somolu. ”

He noted that as a local government,he is deeply committed in creating an enabling environment where every child can flourish as he has prioritized education by renovating public primary schools, distributed free school uniforms, exercise books and learning materials to support the children and their families across the communities.
“We have also modernised learning spaces to give our children the tools they need to compete in today’s world. Through innovative programmes like Somolu Spelling Bee, Code Somolu, and Art for Future, we continue to unlock the creativity, intelligence, and confidence of our young ones.”
“Beyond academics, we recognise the power of sports and the arts in shaping well-rounded individuals. Our youth-focused initiatives, including the Somolu Youth Games and various talent development schemes, help children discover their gifts and prepare them for greater opportunities on local and international stages.”he submitted.
The council boss went further to state that he believes in the potential of the children and in their dreams”Your footsteps may be small today, but they are full of purpose. We will continue to support and celebrate you, because your future is ours to nurture.”he added.
