In a grand show of renewed unity and political strength, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has taken a decisive step toward consolidating its grassroots machinery ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party witnessed a historic reunion of its major groups and inaugurated thousands of Street Captains to champion the ongoing Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) registration campaign across the state.
The landmark event, held at the Nigerian Police College, Ikeja, symbolized a rebirth of harmony, purpose, and strategic alignment within the progressive family.
The gathering brought together two powerful blocs of the party — the Justice Forum, under the leadership of Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, and the Mandate Movement, led by Alhaji Ayinde Enilolobo.
Their reconciliation marked a significant milestone in Lagos APC’s political evolution, signaling renewed collaboration and unity toward a shared goal of victory in 2027.
Investigator news reports that the Police College field was filled to capacity with enthusiastic party members, waving flags and chanting solidarity songs that reflected the spirit of togetherness.
From all parts of Lagos, supporters converged to reaffirm their allegiance to the ideals of progressivism and their readiness to mobilize residents for voter registration at the grassroots.
Addressing the massive crowd, Hon. Kolade Alabi, former National President of ALGON, reminded participants that “the real power of democracy begins with voter registration.”
He charged the newly inaugurated Street Captains to ensure that every eligible Lagosian obtains their PVC, describing the initiative as the foundation of civic participation and political empowerment.
Alhaji Oyinlomo Danmole praised the reunion of the two political families within the APC, calling it a masterstroke for unity and good governance. He emphasized that such collaboration has long been the bedrock of Lagos APC’s success.
Rt. Hon. James Faleke, Lagos State Coordinator of the Presidential Coalition Committee, revealed that over 40,000 Street Captains were inaugurated to drive grassroots mobilisation and engage especially the youth. Other party stalwarts, including Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye, Hon. Wale Raji, and Hon. Segun Olulade, delivered goodwill messages encouraging sustained voter education and civic engagement.
Former council bosses Hon. Rasak Ajala, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu ‘Dullar’, Olorogun Gbolahan Bago-Stowe, and Bldr. Olusesan Daini were also at the political event with their pool of followers.
The high point of the celebration was a captivating musical performance by Fuji legend King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1 De Ultimate), who thrilled the audience with songs extolling President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his visionary leadership and bold economic reforms.
With unity restored and enthusiasm rekindled, the Lagos APC has set the tone for a formidable grassroots movement, ready to deliver another resounding victory in 2027 and sustain the progressive legacy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
