The Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has issued a public disclaimer warning residents of a false message circulating, claiming they must submit their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) and bank account details to receive ₦70,000.
In a press statement released and made available to Investigator news,the LCDA clarifies it has no such program and hasn’t authorized anyone to collect personal or financial information.
“The Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) hereby alerts the public to a false and misleading message in circulation claiming that residents are required to submit their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) and bank account details to receive ₦70,000.”
“Ejigbo LCDA has no such programme and has not authorized any individual, office, or agent to collect personal or financial information from residents.”
“The message is fraudulent and should be disregarded immediately. Residents are strongly advised not to share PVC details, BVN, or bank information with anyone claiming to act on behalf of the Council”the statement reads
The release went further to state that official government programs are announced through verified channels and don’t require sensitive data disclosure.
