Lagos, Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, of Lagos State, on Thursday 29, January 2026, have stressed the importance of religious harmony and prayer to sustain development in the society.
The Investigator news reports that, the conference, hosted by the Our Saviour’s Ministries Church Alausa Ikeja, was attended by worshippers from within the country and beyond.
The theme of the conference was “Cherubim and Seraphim Church–An Unbidden City”
It was for reflection, policy direction, spiritual renewal and administrative realignment.
Sanwo-Olu, a special guest at the 2026 Annual General Conference of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Unification Nigeria, said that, the state would continue to promote religious harmony which he said the state enjoyed over the years.
The Governor, described religious co-existence as an enabler to development, encouraged people to continue to pray for the state and its leadership to enable the state to sustain its people oriented policies.
According to him him with the peace in the state the administration has been able to improve on transport, youths development, infrastructure, health and other pro-people projects.
“We have the mandate of the people to continue to build the state to an enviable position to attract people and investment,” he said.
In his remark at the conference, the Supreme Head of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Nigeria, Prophet Emmanuel Abiodun Adewale-Alogbo, charged worshippers on sacrifice, service and dedication to sustain the church’s heritage and to positively impact society.
Adewale-Alogbo described individual and collective dedication and sacrifice as the bedrock of societal progress and missionary works.
The High Priest, said that, previous leadership of the Church did well to lay foundation on which the Church stands. He tasked worshippers to close ranks and make sacrifices to continue to uphold the Church’s heritage of service and missionary works.
According to him the Church must stand as a moral compass, reminding our society that prosperity is not only measured in wealth but in justice, fairness and compassion for the poor.
“In realisation that the work of nation building is not solely dependent on the government but a collective contribution of all.
“As a people we must resist attitudes that undermines progress, personal ambition, division, unhealthy rivalry and lack of commitment in order to build a church and society that sustains humanity.
In his remark at the event, the All Progressive Congress (APC) Chairman Lagos State, Mr Cornelius Ojelabi, a special guest at the event and member of the Church, said that, the C&S University know as Moses Orimolade University is a project very dear to the Church.
The party Stewart and a Senior Apostle of the C&S said that, works at the University located at Omuaruan Kwara State was at it zenith through the goodwill of members and friends of the church.
In her remark at the event, the Founder of the Love of Christ Church C&S Victoria Island Lagos, Mother Esther Abimbola-Ajayi, said that, the university would begin academic programmes by September.
Ajayi a sponsor of the university project, said that, the Esther Abimbola-Ajayi Foundation has spent ₦3.5 billion in the university project.
Ajayi said that, the university would bridge the moral gap lacking in the schools by fostering aside conventional academic teachings faith and values that shapes youths character and make them better persons in society.
Investigator news gathered that the 2027 C&S Unification Annual General Conference would be hosted the by the Holy Fountain of Cherubim and Seraphim Church Orimolade, Ikare, Ondo State, the Church is sphered by Prophet Okeyomi Oladipupo.
