Voice Of Hope Celebrates End Of The Year Party In Grand Style

As a demonstration of their gratitude to God for His infinite mercy and grace in 2025,the Voice of Hope (an offshoot of Hon Okey Joe Foundation)has celebrated her end of the year party with pomp and pageantry with the theme “Groove and Giveback Hangout”.

The party held at the Foundation office in Ejigbo LCDA began with a cocktail reception where guests mingled and enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres. The atmosphere was electric as everyone eagerly anticipated the start of the main event as they reviewed their activities within the year with a mission for improvement and consolidation in subsequent years.

The foundation also expressed optimism that the 2026 foundation year would witness more activities in human capacity development and welfare of her members.

In her welcome address,the Converner Hon Uchenna Ofomata said that the foundation was grateful for its members who worked hard to advance humanity, noting that the Voice of Hope is voice for the voiceless,a woman community and a movement in empowering and touching lives, helping the vulnerable in the society under Hon Okey Joe Onuakulisi Foundation.

Ofomata said that the idea to organize the end of the year party is to get together as women/girlchild and as a community of Okey Joe Foundation and to encourage the women especially those in need by giving them the sum of N50,000.

Investigator news reports that the event, which was a joyous occasion filled with laughter, networking and friendship, was aimed at creating a fun and memorable experience for the members and guests, fostering a sense of community and well-being.

It was a period where members and friends of the Voice of Hope Movement came to unwind and socialize in a relaxed and festive atmosphere while celebrating the Foundation’s remarkable achievements in 2025.

The event featured dance,drama, choreography, health talk,hot tea competition and presentation by members of the movement.

The Member representing Oshodi Isolo Constituency 2 at the Federal House of Representatives,Hon Okey Joe Onuakulisi in his speech, applauded members and executives of the Voice of Hope Movement which he said it is his brainchild, urging them to be more committed in ensuring that unity, togetherness and love remain their watchword.

Recognizing the significance of this time of year, the lawmaker emphasized the importance of love, perseverance and community celebration, noting that the essence of Christmas is God’s love towards mankind.

Okey Joe also reaffirmed his commitment to tirelessly work for the betterment of Oshodi Isolo Constituency 2

He urge the women to reflect on the sacrifices of Christ on the cross and use the occasion of Christmas to build a stronger family, society and national bond.

He went further to present N50,000 to seven women for Christmas and New Year gifts as well as to support their business.

According to him the beneficiaries, five persons were selected from Oshodi/Isolo community from different wards while two person were selected from another Constituency which is Alomosho and Ikorodu.

He said the gesture was to give back to the society and to put smile in the faces of people need help especially in this period of festivity. Adding that he is giving out the money because God loves the cheerful givers.

Speaking with newsmen,Hon Uchenna said for coming year 2026 the movement has lined up programmes which will show love to women who are in need and vulnerable in communities. Especially during International Women’s Day and International Girlchild Day celebrations.

She said: “During these periods we will organise training programmes among these young women focusing on menstrual educations, organising cooking competitions among others”.

She urged the women to always walk and collaborate together in order to break barriers and achieve their goal in life.

“The Voice of Hope is a voice for voiceless people in communities especially for women and girlchild.The movement calls for unity and partnerships among women because with unity women can break barriers and make a change in the community and country at large.For instance, in Voice of Hope there is no tribalism as everybody benefits from the movement irrespective of your tribe”.she said.

Speaking with newsmen, one of the beneficiaries,Mrs Obodo Nkiruka thanked Hon Uchenna Ofomata for giving her the sum of N50,000 stating that it will go a long way in enhancing business, while praying that God will continually bless her and Hon Okey Joe foundation and Voice of Hope.

Other beneficiaries include Mrs Kate Sunday (Jakande),Mrs Sarah Halimah Asuku(Isolo),Mrs Aminat Olarewaju (Ilasa),Mrs Mary Okoroji(Okota),Mrs Glory Williams (Ikorodu) and Mrs Cordelia Uwalakah(Alimosho)

 

Highlight of the event was cutting of the cake by December celebrants and presentation of N50,000 cheque to 7 beneficiaries from different wards including Alimosho and Ikorodu

Those in attendance include the Chairman Labour Party,Oshodi Isolo Constituency 2,Hon Remigus Agu,Hon Walter and other members of labour party including Obidient women, vanguard women
