The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has modified the dates of the party’s primaries preceding the general election of 2023.
Mr. Hakeem Amode, the party’s Lagos State Publicity Secretary, made this known in a statement issued in Lagos State.
According to him, the new date for the party’s primary election for seats in the State Houses of Assembly and the House of Representatives is May 22.

Meanwhile, the Senate primary remained May 23.
He urged members of the party and the general public to take note of the new dates.

Prior to the most recent change, the party had scheduled its House of Assembly primary for May 21, while the House of Representatives primary was set for May 22.
In contrast, the previously adjusted dates of the primaries for the Senate and governorship, which were previously scheduled for May 23 and May 26, were not altered by the new adjustment.
NAN reports that the party’s presidential primary has been scheduled for May 28 and 29.
